Your First Customer-to-Payment Workflow
An overview of the order of operations the Launch Checklist follows, from setup through sending your first quote.
Who this is for: Owners and admins completing initial OperelliOS setup.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”You are signed in and have reviewed the Launch Checklist on the Getting Started tab.
Verified in this batch
Section titled “Verified in this batch”These stages were observed in the Launch Checklist and related captures for this documentation batch:
-
Set up your business profile first, so your business name and contact details are ready for customer-facing documents. See How to Set Up Your Business Profile.
-
Add your first customer record. Creating a customer is part of this path; dedicated step-by-step create-customer instructions are still verification pending.
-
Add a property linked to that customer, representing the service location. See How to Create a Property.
-
Add a Price Book item to define a service with a fixed sell price (Price Book context appears on the Launch Checklist; dedicated Price Book Help articles are not part of this batch).
-
Create your first estimate for the customer using that Price Book item (estimate stage observed on the checklist through “Send first quote”).
-
Send the estimate to the customer as a public proposal / quote for their approval (observed as the checklist’s send-quote stage).
-
Where the Launch Checklist continues into delivery, work-order context may appear in the product path. Dedicated Work Orders Help articles are not part of this batch.

Each checklist step corresponds to one stage of this workflow, in order. Business name and avatar are redacted for privacy.
Not verified in this batch
Section titled “Not verified in this batch”These stages were outside this documentation capture. They may exist in the product, but they are not presented here as verified walkthroughs:
- Invoice walkthrough
- Payment recording walkthrough
Do not read this omission as a statement that invoicing or payment recording is unavailable in OperelliOS — only that those walkthroughs were outside this capture batch.
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”You understand the order in which a new workspace typically moves from business setup through the early customer, property, price-book context, estimate, and proposal stages covered above.
Common issues
Section titled “Common issues”Skipping business profile setup before adding customers can leave customer-facing documents without your business contact details. A Price Book item is required before it can be added as a line item on an estimate.
